About SGA

As the Student Government Association (SGA), we are here to:

  • Respond to and resolve issues or concerns expressed by the student body.
  • Support student feedback.
  • Act as a liaison between the students and the administration.
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of conditions conducive to student success, student learning, and an enriched extracurricular environment.
  • Act on matters which promote the general welfare of the student body.
  • Ensure Student Activity and Service fees are allocated and used to support the extracurricular and co-curricular interests of the student body as a whole.

Destinee Britto

Student Body President

A native of Trinidad and Tobago, Destinee moved to Tallahassee in 2021. She graduated from James S. Rickards High School in 2023, where she was class president and a member of the IB program. A second-year student in the Aspire Program, Destinee will transfer to FSU to major in sports management and pre-law. On campus, she is the vice president of Phi Theta Kappa and a member of the International Student Organization and Black Student Union. Before serving as the SGA president, she was the senator of student affairs. Destinee enjoys meeting new people and getting involved in different spaces.

Tallahassee native and first-generation American, Bella started her TSC journey as an extern during her senior year of high school in the Office of Communications and Marketing. Upon graduating from Lawton Chiles High School in 2023, she began working as an OPS marketing assistant in the office. She is in Aspire Honors and plans to transfer to Florida State to pursue a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and supporting local businesses in her free time.

Treasurer

Musa is a second-year computer engineering major at TSC. Originally from Abuja, Nigeria, Musa graduated from Zamani College in Kaduna. He serves as the vice president of scholarship and treasury for Phi Theta Kappa and is a member of the engineering club, the International Student Organization, and Model United Nations. He plans to graduate with his AA degree and transfer to a four-year university. Musa loves football and getting involved in the community.

Rafael, a native of Clearwater, Florida, is a 2023 graduate of Dunedin High School. During his senior year, he led the boys’ soccer team as the team captain to their first district title in several years. On campus, he stays actively engaged with the Hispanic Heritage Month Committee and SGA, organizing and preparing agendas and meeting minutes. After completing his AA degree, Rafael will transfer to FSU to further his studies in business administration.

Shaune graduated from St. Dominic High School on the Caribbean Island of St. Maarten where he was born and raised. He is a second-year mechanical engineering student planning to transfer to the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering to further his studies and passion for innovation and problem-solving. Aside from being in SGA, Shaune is involved in Phi Theta Kappa, the International Student Organization, the E-Sports Club, and the STEM Program.

Zachary Meeks

Senator of Student Engagement

Zach is a sophomore at TSC majoring in biomedical engineering. He is a native of Tallahassee and graduated from Thomasville High School (2023). He is a member of Imprint 2 Impact, Black Male Achievers, and Men of Color Collective. Outside of TSC, Zach is a Bridges to the Baccalaureate (B2B) researcher and scholar at FAMU where he will transfer to upon graduation. In his spare time, Zach likes to read and play video games.

Fabio Gonzales-Saenz

Senator of Student Affairs

Fabio was born and raised in Peru and graduated from a local high school in 2022. In 2023, he left behind his family, language, and culture to begin a new life in the U.S., starting at TSC. Now a sophomore business marketing student at TSC, Fabio is working towards his AA to transfer to FSU through the Aspire Program. He is a member of the International Student Organization, where he proudly represents Peru and connects with fellow international students. He also enjoys playing soccer, cooking traditional Peruvian recipes, and forming new friendships while navigating life in the U.S.

Senator of Academic Affairs

Djanny graduated from Amos P. Godby High School as an honors student. She is a second-year nursing student hoping to become a nurse practitioner. Djanny is committed to representing the student body and enhancing campus life at TSC. She is also a proud STEM scholar inspiring others through commitment, innovation, and learning. As a senator, Djanny collaborates with administrators and peers to address student concerns and advocate for change. She desires to foster a nurturing, inclusive environment on campus by making every student feel heard and supported.

Revan Khan

Senator of Information Technology

Born in Tallahassee, Revan grew up between Tallahassee and Honduras, becoming fluent in both languages. He is a driven sophomore pursuing a degree in computer engineering. Revan leads the Engineering Club as its president and participates in Model United Nations. With aspirations to transfer outside of Florida, Revan aims to continue his academic journey by earning a master’s degree and a PhD. In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and skating.

Senator of Campus Safety and Facilities

Amany is a first-generation, minority college student at TSC. A graduate of John I. Leonard High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, his strong academic record earned him a spot on the honor roll through high school. At TSC, Amany started his educational journey by making the President’s List. He will continue this path by pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science at FAMU. After he receives his bachelor’s degree, Amany will attend FAMU College of Law to help him complete his goal of serving as a Chief Justice, fueled by his zeal for law and advocacy.

Senator of Marketing and Public Relations

Maria, originally from the Philippines, graduated from Lincoln High School in 2024. Now a freshman at TSC, Maria serves as a board member of the International Student Organization, secretary of Imprint 2 Impact and Circle K International, and co-executive editor of the on-campus student newspaper, the Talon. After receiving her AA, she plans to transfer to FAMU to pursue a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. When she is not on campus, Maria devotes her time to being a proud cat mom of two.

Senator of Career Readiness

Born and raised in Tallahassee, Kailey graduated from Lawton Chiles High in 2024. She is a freshman working towards receiving her AA and radiology certification. Upon graduation, Kailey will transfer to Florida State to receive her bachelor’s degree in biology or go into the workforce. Kailey is a TSC Dance Marathon and Honors Program member. In her spare time, she does Taekwondo, takes her dogs on hikes and walks, hangs out with friends, and visits new places.

The Florida College System Student Government Association (FCSSGA) represents the nearly one million students enrolled in the Florida College System's 28 colleges. The organization promotes legislative advocacy and training, leadership development, service learning, promotion of campus activities, and strong citizenship.

Our Mission
To unify the member colleges in order to best attend to the appropriate concerns of the students of the Florida College System and serve as a vehicle to communicate these concerns to the Florida Legislature.
