Florida offenders are trading in their prison jumpsuits for Tallahassee Community College Transportation and Logistics program uniforms. Through an ongoing partnership with the Florida Department of Corrections, 24 transitioning offenders will receive the skills needed to support a smooth transition back into the workforce while earning the nationally recognized industry credential, the commercial driver’s license (CDL). TCC debuts 21st African American History Calendar

Today, Tallahassee Community College unveiled its 2021 Cherry Hall Alexander African American History Calendar.
This year’s theme is “The Black Family: Representation, Identity, and Diversity,” highlighting people who preserve and nurture the family unit in the Leon, Wakulla, Jefferson or Gadsden County communities.
This year’s calendar features individuals for each month of the year, a President’s Award honoree and a student highlight. Read More
TCC unveils 21st African American History Calendar in Virtual Ceremony

Tallahassee Community College is debuting its Cherry Hall Alexander African American History Calendar for the 21st consecutive year. The calendar will be unveiled during a virtual ceremony on Monday, Jan. 25, 6 p.m. on TCC’s YouTube Page at youtu.be/vbw-b72u8hc. The link can also be found at tcc.fl.edu and search “African American calendar.” In previous years, the event was held in person. TCC Gadsden Center continues Connecting Residents to Healthcare Professions

Tallahassee Community College’s Gadsden Center and Sunshine Health are gearing up for their next cohort in the New Year by continuing their partnership to provide Gadsden County residents with full scholarships to earn a post-secondary credential in short-term healthcare programs. The courses begin Feb. 1, 2021 and target individuals interested in becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide, which are in high demand locally, statewide and nationally.
